Requirements
Royal Life Saving Society NSW is not a CRICOS provider; it is unable to provide national training to overseas students holding a student visa.

To complete this remote assessment, you must have access to a device to film yourself with (i.e. mobile phone or other video camera) and submit video evidence demonstrating your competence performing CPR.
You are required to have access to a computer and the internet to access the online modules and submit your video assessments.

Course Resources
Candidates will be issued the following within 48 hours of enrolment into this course:
  • Token Code to access online learning
  • A Candidate Guide that will provide and explain the assessments you are required to submit
  • CPR in Box mini manikin to be used for video practical assessment (Sent via post)

Course Description
The “HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation” unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

This course requires candidates to complete the ‘CPR Online with Remote Assessment’ Course (including multiple choice theory exam) and to undertake their practical assessment, remotely.

You are required to upload your assessment video onto a cloud service you prefer, then share a link to your videos with our assessor. The assessor will download and review your video and mark your performance. Popular cloud storage options include: All assessments must be submitted within 3 months from the date you begin your online learning.

Assessment submissions are reviewed and assessed by our qualified trainers, who will then contact candidates of assessment results. Candidates will be contacted with feedback if any resubmissions/reassessments are required.

Outcomes
As part of this course candidates must be able to perform at least two minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor. To achieve a Statement of Attainment, candidates must successfully complete the practical components under the award conditions.

Upon successful completion, candidates will be provided a Statement of Attainment with the following units of competency:
  • HLTAID001 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
